On Tuesday 24th November China launched its Long March-5 Y5 rocket carrying the Chang'e-5 lunar probe from Wenchang Space Launch Center, Wenchang, Hainan. The original mission which was planned in 2017 was delayed due to an engine failure.



The task of the robotic spacecraft is to bring back rocks from the moon in the first attempt by any country to retrieve lunar surface samples since the 1970s.



The China National Space Administration (CNSA) confirmed the launch as a success.



The spacecraft is intended to deploy a pair of vehicles to the lunar surface upon landing which is due in eight days: a lander and an ascender. The lander with a robotic arm will drill into the surface to get out soil and rocks, and transfer it to the ascender vehicle.

Netflix’s India Original series “Delhi Crime”, has bagged the best drama series honour at the 48th International Emmy Awards. The show was directed by Indian-Canadian director Richie Mehta.



The series unfolds the case of the 23-year-old physiotherapy intern who was abducted and gangraped in a moving bus on the night of December 16, 2012 before she was abandoned on a Delhi road through the perspective of Delhi Police investigating team.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has, for the first time, approved a research study on 'status of radicalisation in India.' The study would attempt to legally define 'radicalisation' and suggest amendments to the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).


G.S. Bajpai, Director of the Centre for Criminology and Victimology, National Law University (NLU), Delhi, will conduct the research on radicalisation. He is also the member-secretary of Committee on Criminal Reforms constituted by the MHA to overhaul the British-era Indian Penal Code (IPC).
